Day Seven-JoyRide

What cause for celebration. Congratulations to all the cleansers on a job well done. This concludes our journey, our challenge, and our complete focus on detoxifying the body and purifying the mind for this week in October 2009.  My prayer is you accomplished all you set out for and learned more along the way.  I know I have!

Who knows maybe we can meet up again for some spring cleaning?

Jai Bhagwan,

Welcome all interested cleansers!

We are about to begin a journey with amazing possibilities.  Let me say right away, I am neither a health professional nor an expert cleanser but many of you have been asking questions and showing an expressed interest in cleansing.  In the last year for various reasons, I have completed a Master and Colon Cleanse and desired to embark on a Juice Cleanse  but didn’t want to start another cleanse alone, so have conspired for a “throwdown” if you will, to rally up support along the way and who knows maybe shift the community focus.

Calling this a challenge can be somewhat of an understatement, but once started a completely worth while endeavor.  There are many, many opinions on the benefits and detriments of fasting, therefore you must do your own research, consult with a trusted individual or physician, and contemplate a decision that is right for you.  As much as we are attempting a collective experience, cleansing is a highly personal journey, which along the way I pray the right cleansing path emerges for you be it only 4 hours or 7 days.

That being said, this blog will be used to point you to a few resources, tips, and ideas to aid in your goals.  I have discovered surrounding yourself with like minded, spirited cleansers, (no nay-sayers allowed) is one amazing key to success.  Another goal of the blog is to create a  forum we can all use to share our journey, post new resources and celebrate the changes!  So send this site to any interested  friend and reveal a bit more of your thoughts about the CHALLENGE!

Gratefully, both the White Lotus Center and Liberty Fitness have offered to focus their evening Yoga classes to nurture us along the way.  Yoga is a vital element to deepen the changes you will be cultivating.  The Yoga instructor team, who also are experienced cleansers, include myself, Sarasvati and an accomplished new instructor to town, Terese Jones.  We plan to pace the week around the predictable challenges of a seven day cleanse.  For example, Day 2 may include more calming and restorative poses while Day 5 has more energetic and cleansing poses.   There is an exciting 2 hour workshop scheduled on Friday,  as well as a closing to the challenge during both Sunday classes.  As if you didn’t already know, even if you’re not cleansing, practicing Yoga for seven consecutive days can be eye opening. The link on the left includes the weeks schedule.

B/c I haven’t completely figured out how to manipulate the links on this new template, tomorrow’s post will include information and recipes about the three cleanse options listed above and tips for preparing to cleanse which starts next MONDAY 9/19.  Anytime send  me an email  with “offline” information  and please keep us posted about new resources or information.

Shanti,

Deby
